QUESTION:

Is this for real, only $14.95 a month for alarm monitoring?

ANSWER:

It’s as real as it gets. Our normal monthly monitoring rates are as low as  $14.95*.  We also offer the option of quarterly payments for a low month rate that's automatically charged to a credit card or checking account.

*Requires a conventional analog phone line. Wireless available at different rates.

QUESTION:

I’m now paying about 3 times that amount! How do you do it and what’s the catch?

ANSWER:

There are NO Gimmicks, NO Tricks and NO Catch, ever.  Fact is, most alarm companies mark up their monthly charges by 600 to 1000%. DFW ALARM believes that by reducing the cost of alarm monitoring to the general consumer, monitoring becomes more affordable to home and business owners. This reduced cost enables many more people to take advantage of our service.

QUESTION:

Can you monitor the system I already have in my home?

ANSWER:

If you own your system, in most cases, yes! There are a few systems that we are unable to immediately monitor, such as the older technologies and some "proprietary" systems. We can tell you over the phone if you can take advantage of our offer right away. Our fully trained and state registered alarm technicians will come to your home or business to program and fully test your systems in less than an hour. We also provide updates using the newest technology for a specially discounted rate for our customers.

QUESTION:

At that price how can you possibly provide the same service as the other companies?

ANSWER:

 That’s a good question.  We can provide this service by doing a large volume, by invoicing quarterly with direct payment on a credit card or ACH (bank draft), by careful negotiation of all wholesale rates, and by keeping overhead low.  We are a privately owned company that watches every penny, just like you do!  And we keep all of our monitoring contracts in house, never selling them or your privacy.  That would be a grave disservice to people who put their trust in us.  DFW ALARM’s Central Alarm Monitoring Station is a fully certified, UL Listed facility, licensed by the Texas Commission on Private Security and the Texas State Fire Marshal with a branch located right here in the Lone Star State.  The Monitoring Station is fully staffed 24 hours a day by trained professionals whose number one job is to take care of you, the customer.  You will always enjoy the fast service and courteous treatment you rightly deserve.

 

QUESTION:

What if I don’t have a system now? Can you provide one?

ANSWER:

DFW ALARM offers a full line of security products and we pride ourselves on the new systems we install. Having over 30 years in the alarm industry assures you that your new DFW ALARM system will be the best available to fit your needs. Once we install a new system for you, it becomes yours immediately. We don’t lease you a system or lock out the programming. NO Gimmicks, NO Tricks, NO Catch.

QUESTION:

What type of equipment do you carry?

ANSWER:

DFW ALARM is an authorized dealer for Ademco / Honeywell, GE Security, DSC, 2GIG/Go Control and NAPCO.  Ademco / Honeywell is the oldest, most experienced manufacturer of security products and is under the ownership of Honeywell. DSC (Digital Security Controls) is a TYCO company and is another very popular brand. Availability, reliability, cost effectiveness and innovation are their keys to the company's longevity. In order to fit special security and fire applications we offer a full selection of fire alarm products, too.

QUESTION:

What is the warranty policy on your systems and how much extra must I pay for the peace of mind of an extended warranty offer?

ANSWER:

At DFW ALARM we take care of our customers by offering a 12 month warranty on parts and labor.

QUESTION:

I’m renting the home where I’m living. Can you put a system in for me?

ANSWER:

With the property owner’s permission, we can install a state-of-the-art system that you can take with you if you ever relocate. DFW ALARM or any other qualified alarm dealer can then re-install the system in your new home, apartment or business.

QUESTION:

What about the billing? How do I pay?

ANSWER:

You can use your MasterCard, Visa, Discover, or check to pay for a new system. Monitoring customers have the option to pay quarterly, semi-annually or annually.  Monitoring payments are drafted quarterly from your Credit Card or Checking Account.

QUESTION:

How do I know that you’ll be around in the future?

ANSWER:

 We're here to stay!  DFW ALARM is licensed by the Texas Commission on Private Security and the Texas State Fire Marshal. We are fully committed to our customers and are very active within our community.  DFW ALARM is a participating member of the Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce and we have served as officers and/or committee members in the North Texas Alarm Association,  The Texas Burglar and Fire Alarm Association and the National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association (now known as ESA).  On a personal level throughout the years we have been active in the South Central Bloodhound Association, American Bloodhound Club, Texas Antique Airplane Association, Classic Bonanza Association, American Bonanza Society, Aircraft Owner’s and Pilot’s Association, Experimental Aircraft Association and the World Beech Association.

QUESTION:

Does Internet based phone service like VOIP cause a problem?

ANSWER:

 

We have found that alarm systems cannot reliably report in emergency with VOIP Service. We recommend digital cellular service.

QUESTION:

Can I Have An Alarm System Without A Phone Line?

ANSWER:

Yes! We can monitor your alarm system using the newest digital cellular service, specifically designed for alarm transmission data. You can even control your security system via your smartphone.
